So the spring snow came and went but not without so fun first. I decided to spend some time w/ the girls outside building a snowman. Well Livvy, learning at school all about penguins and Antarctica, decided she wanted to build an igloo. Not afraid of a challenge we set out to work. After an hour or so I was beat. I asked her, being only half way done, if a snow fort was cooler. Like she would somehow take my side over the idea of an igloo. "No mom we have to finish". Well I had taken a shower just before coming out thinking I would only be out there for a half hour or so but after almost 3 hours we finished our igloo. More like a snow cave but she didn't care. She wanted to have lunch in her new cave and a sleep over. She was pumped. Then the sun came out and about an hour after completion....kersplat! Our hard mornings work had collapsed into a heap of snow never even looking as though something had once been erected there. Her little heart was broken. I felt so bad that she didn't get to play in it more. Oh well. It was worth the hard work and sweat. Needless to say I had to take another shower. She really knew how to put me through the grinder!
