Home Again, Home Again

So although I have no new pictures to put up I will attempt to explain why. We have recently moved back to SLC. Nick was transferred with his job and so it happened kind of fast. We moved right before Thanksgiving and have been living with his parents for the last 2 months. But we are finally in our place after a month and a half of tedious work to get it ready. We have working internet and all is well. I will post new pictures as soon as I have them. I have just been so preoccupied with this house that nothing else has gotten done. Sorry to all of you that I have lost contact with over the last couple of months. I will make it up to you. Thanks to family for your support in this hectic move.

Esmerelda & Scarecrow

So this year we only made it out to Alisha's ward Trunk 'or Treat. But this has been an annual thing since we moved here, so nothing new to our kids. Every time we pass Alisha's church building they yell out "Look mom, we went trick or treating there". I think it is their second favorite place (Aunt Alisha's being the first). They had a blast and for Halloween my mom and dad came over for soup, homemade bagels, smoothies and popcorn. Mmmmm! After watching "Shrek the Halls" (which is such a cute Christmas movie), the girls zonked making it a wonderful Halloween. I know, I know, we watched a Christmas movie already but to my defense, I was letting my parent's preview it before purchase. So I was doing THEM a favor. Ha Ha! By the way, Livvy was Esmerelda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Miss Calli was a scarecrow. CUTE!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Linder Farms this year to do the annual pumpkin patch and haystack maze. The girls got to ride around on the tractor through the giant pumpkin fields. When it was all over they each picked out their own pumpkin. Notice my girls picked the tiniest ones they could find. We had a good time.

A Day at the Lake

We had so much fun over Labor Day weekend. Brandon and his Family were so kind as to invite us to go boating again. The girls had a blast being in the sun all day. Calli was even able to sneak in a 2 hr nap while still on the boat. They were so cute.

Livvy's life jacket was a little big on her and so would rise up to just about her nose. I thought she sort of mimicked a turtle especially with the towel over her head.

Our new genealogy tree. I worked on this tree supposedly for our Enrichment night, but my committee put the kabosh on it supposing it looked too hard. I think it turned out really pretty. Thanks mom & dad coleman for helping me out. The red leaves represent the male lines and the orange leaves represent the female lines. Nick's family is on the left and mine on the right. It's definitely prettier in person.

So here is Livvy thoroughly enjoying her first motorcycle ride with her Uncle Brandon. She loved it! Calli on the other hand absolutely hated it. She cried mommy all the way around the block. It was so sad to hear her little voice grow farther and farther from the house yet come right back screaming as loudly as when she had left. Poor thing. Just not the bond that there is between Brandon and Livvy. Although he's working on it. The girls also had a great time at Aunt Erika's with both their cousins. Thanks Sis! First pics are of Livvy and Reese racing around the cul-de-sac. Who do you think won? I think it took livvy about 20 min just to make it all the way around. But I don't care too much that she's a cautious little girl.

Makeover Madness

So....Nick is out of town this week and the girls have, well let's just say, not been on their best behavior. So after several moments of continuous bickering over a makeup mirror, I decided to do makeovers with the girls. They both got so excited, immediately forgetting what they had previously been fighting over (the item being discarded to the floor), and jumped up on the ottoman to receive their make-up treatments. We painted nails, we applied shimmery eye shadow adding hints of pink blush with a smidge of mascara and sparkly lip gloss, finishing off with stick on princess earrings. They sat so quiet and attentive to everything I was doing. So here are the end results. Can you tell who is the glamor queen? Who gave her modeling advice at the age of 4? Should I be worried?

How does your garden grow?

Miss Calli found a mud puddle and made herself quite at home. At one point she decided to make a meal out of her newly found mess. Boy did she have fun.

The girls found some wildflowers growing in front of the house and picked all whole bunch for their dad. They're so happy that the weather has turned warm so they can play outside.

A day at the Zoo

We went to the zoo when Nick's parents were here. Boise has a small zoo but the girls loved it. They don't need any fancy animals to keep them happy. They even found fake ones to fill the void. I think that was Calli's favorite attraction, the penguins. She kept creeping back down the stairs to get a peek at them. Their most favorite thing about the zoo, the carousel. They had so much fun and it only cost $1. What a bargain.

Livvy turns 4

She was so excited to finally be able to celebrate her birthday. We waited until grandma and grandpa came to have it and she was so happy to open her presents (half of them she had already discovered hidden under mom and dad's bed). We had it at the park down the street and let them play afterwards. They had a blast. She even loved, loved, loved the cake I made for her. She told me "mom, it's just perfect for me". What a cutie. I'll tell you what, grandpa thoroughly enjoyed the cake, sneaking bites in the middle of the night. He is so funny. Thanks mom and dad for coming up for her birthday. We love ya!
